The JBL 910 Line Array is a punchy, lightweight, and versatile system that is an excellent complement to the JBL Pro lineup.
When selecting a new audio system for your Church, Theater, School, Event Space or Traveling Band, you must consider several factors: Coverage, Design and Build Quality, Performance, Feature set, Flexibility, Expandability and Cost. As an avid enthusiast of sound quality and performance, I recently had the opportunity to experience the JBL SRX 910 LA, and I must say, it left an indelible impression. Crafted with precision engineering and designed to cater to the most discerning audio professionals, the SRX 910 LA is a powerhouse of innovation that redefines what’s possible in the realm of live sound reinforcement.
For years, the JBL lineup consisted of the professional JBL V and A series line arrays, and the JBL VRX. For the price point, the VRX was a popular option for church, but as a constant curvature array, the applications were limited. In addition, the sonic profile of the VRX line up left opportunity in the lineup for a product that could rest between the VRX and the V/A series line arrays. Now, we have it. The SRX 910 and 910 Line Arrays perfectly complement the line up with an affordable powered line array, with wide coverage, capable of up to 16 elements per array, and flexible enough to be ground stacked or flown. The Penn Group has been testing the 910 line arrays in our warehouse located in Gahanna, Ohio for the past few weeks. This is our review of the JBL 910 Line Array.
Key Features of the JBL 910LA:
- 120 Degree High End Coverage
- Flown Array or Ground Stack capable.
- Powered Speakers

Design and Build Quality:
The first thing that strikes you about the SRX 910 LA is its robust yet lightweight design. JBL has spared no effort in ensuring durability with a composite body construction without compromising on aesthetics. The enclosure is meticulously engineered to minimize resonance and distortion, providing a pristine audio experience even at high volumes. With onboard Crown amplification, the 910LA makes power from a standard TRUEONE power connector, which is loop able between individual array elements. Overall, the design of the box is very simple, robust, and easy to understand.
Deployment:
One of the most impressive features of the SRX 910 LA is the multitude of ways in which it can be rigged. Versatility in rigging allows for the SRX 910 LA to be used in a variety of different applications and rooms. Each cabinet can be set at a variety of inter-enclosure angles, over an exceptional range (0.5-12°), allowing for the achievement of perfect coverage regardless of the size and shape of the room. There are two main ways that the speakers can be deployed flown and grown stacked. The ground stack method uses the complimentary base plate to attach up to 6 SRX 910 LA boxes to their corresponding JBL 918s single 18″ subwoofers. Flying the SRX 910 LA requires the complementary fly bars (sold seperately) and can allow for up to 16 boxes being flown on a single hang. An extremely impressive number for a box at this price point. The deployment of the cabinets is a breeze, taking no more than 15 minutes to setup and configure a large array.

The SRX 910 LA truly sets a new standard for both cost effectiveness and performance. Powered by a state-of-the-art Class-D Crown amplifier with JBL’s advanced transducer technology and cutting-edge DSP, this speaker delivers an unparalleled sonic experience at the price point.
