Traditionally, pricing an AV installation means site visits, back-and-forth emails, and weeks of waiting. AVL Designer collapses that into a single session: visitors choose a venue template — church or worship space, restaurant or bar, theater, office, or a blank room with their own dimensions — then drag real speakers, lighting fixtures, video displays, and LED walls from The Penn Group’s live product catalog into a true-to-scale 3D model of their room. A running estimate updates with every change, and entering a site address produces a full quote with equipment, materials and cabling, regional labor, and delivery.
Highlights include a “Design it for me” option that places a sensible starter system sized to the room; an LED wall builder that computes physical size, resolution, weight, and viewing distances by pixel pitch — including how close a viewer can stand before individual pixels become visible; visual guides for speaker placement and projector throw; a CAD-style wiring diagram and standards-based equipment rack designer; and a printable field pack with the bill of materials and cable schedule. Designs save automatically, and every visitor receives a private link to resume their work.
